That makes sense
10:46 PM
haha, I get that
Avatar
Consider it this way - "You" and "your tulpa" are using the body.
Avatar
Please feel free to ask any questions you have.
Avatar
The body would be both of yours, by that logic.
Avatar
That's what i figured. Leads me to my next question. What resources does a tulpa need? Apart from physical needs of the body when using that body
10:47 PM
BTW, thank you so much for entertaining this.
Avatar
Attention.
10:48 PM
Preferably from the host.
Avatar
Yes. We call it "forcing" your tulpa.
Avatar
Man, the military in me just sat up in my seat before I realized that was an answer.
Avatar
most people call it that :P (edited)
Avatar
Not really preferably from the host.
Avatar
In effect, interaction.
Avatar
Just experience.
10:48 PM
As an person needs.
Avatar
To live properly, literally anyone needs interaction with others - isolation from experience and interaction with the world leads to atrophy, and the same goes for a tulpa.
Avatar
This information helps.
Avatar
a better (and more broad) way to put it is that a tup needs external stimuli to grow and develop (edited)
Avatar
If you are planning to make a tulpa, the tulpa needs interaction with you at first, while it cannot get interaction from other sources. Later on, interaction with you is always good, but other interaction is also extremely helpful for development, growth, and general mental health.
10:50 PM
Interaction with a variety of individuals is best. Varied experiences.

Kind of a meta question, anyone here familiar with Tulpa101? A bit of an argument ensued and I was told using tulpa.info was not a legitimate source...but no one could give me a valid reason. If you all know nothing about that, then I'll dismiss that as nonsense.
Avatar
Can you explain further?
Avatar
"Tulpa 101"?
10:51 PM
I've never heard that name before.
Avatar
he's a user on the forum
10:52 PM
used to post a lot more, I think he's on a break or something
Avatar
Sadly I was not given much information to go on. I found tulpa.info in a basic google search, and a little digging led me to this server. When I tried to suggest said website as an authoritative source on the matter, I was told your info was out of date and that y'all were trolls.
Avatar
That's Tulpa001, @Srn347
Avatar
Oh, yes.
Avatar
I was told "Tulpa101" was a more accurate source of this stuff
10:53 PM
Which...doesn't alone pass for muster on my server
Avatar
I have heard of Tulpa001. He was mentioned on the Mister Metokur video.
Avatar
An enemy camp? :?
Avatar
That's all I can think of.
Avatar
shrug okay.
Avatar
Isolde beat me.
Avatar
Thank you for the link @Srn347
10:54 PM
I'll be reading that
Avatar
Quite honestly, given tulpa.info is centered more around psychological explanations of tulpas, I would think it is one of the better sources for information compared to the constant waves of people giving explanations that are based on entirely unsubstantiated magical phenomena.
Avatar
That is my thinking as well.
Avatar
That said - draw your own conclusions based on the information itself and its basis, not just the place you see it.
Avatar
I'm willing to accept an independent academic, but they have a higher burden of proof
Avatar
There are published scientific papers that are bogus, because the peer review didn't properly inspect the methodology.
Avatar
I think I've seen those.
Avatar
My opinion is that through a conscious dissociation, you build new neural pathways in the brain that correspond to the tulpa.
Avatar
That makes logical sense
Avatar
Not that they are particularly different pathways.
10:58 PM
The process of 'thinking' does not entirely change between a tulpa and host.
Avatar
It’s based on what I’ve been half paying attention to in Biological Bases of Behavior class. :L
Avatar
But, the thoughts themselves do certainly have differences. (edited)
Avatar
You sort of train the brain to be someone else, and then forget that you did that so they act like a different person, yeah?
Avatar
Essentially.
11:00 PM
...agh. I used brackets again.
Avatar
It is like subpersonalities, really.
11:00 PM
Expect the context is being the tulpa.

Do tulpas have a huge energy drain?
Avatar
Not intrinsically, no. If you are doing something new, such as possessing for the first time, you may feel some fatigue. Or at least, that has been my experience and shared by many other people I have asked.
Avatar
If anything, you're a drain on their energy. :L
Avatar
You may be drained during the beginning but get more stamina over time.
Avatar
Right.
12:33 AM
With practice, any fatigue like that goes away.
12:33 AM
Think of it like endurance training.
Avatar

Ok, can it be an indicator of anything? Such as awakening?
Avatar
Awakening?
Avatar
...awakening of what?
Avatar
Maybe they mean sentience and not some weird BS made up term from another server.

Regarding posession, once the tulpa is the dominant headvoice, how do you give control of the body?
Avatar
Give it to another Tulpa or yourself?
Avatar
MilkKei 👓 4/25/2018 3:27 AM
If I want to give the tulpa control of my arms per say
3:28 AM
Im stuck on the dominant head voice part XD
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 4/25/2018 3:28 AM
just stop using it yourself
3:28 AM
and allow them to
3:28 AM
they don't really have to be the dominant head voice though
3:28 AM
that's more for switching really
Avatar
yeah
Avatar
MilkKei 👓 4/25/2018 3:34 AM
Oh, huh. Just stop using it? Okay I'll try that - thank you!
3:34 AM
Any other tips or like advice? Or examples of how you do posession or visualize it to get it started?

not bad 👍
4:12 AM
I wanted to write a possession guide but this is probably good enough :/
Avatar
Are there any sort of bad or good idea to avoid things I might do with my tulpa (other than obvious stuff like abuse her) that could actually be damaging to her or her development?
Avatar
Does anyone know about Imposition
Avatar
what do you want to know?
Avatar
How to do it
6:20 AM
Hello
Avatar
found some guides on the forum if that helps http://community.tulpa.info/thread-list-of-guides--12660 (ctrl + f down to imposition) if there's any specific problem you're having with it go ahead and ask and someone here could probably help you (my imposition is kinda meh, there's probably people here more qualified than me to help you)

Avatar
Just how long does it take for a tulpa to become sentient?
Avatar
As long as it takes
Avatar
@AmeLumineux don't get hung up on her personality

True thanks
